Delete your Lift account and data

Email an account and data deletion request to hello@uselift.app.

Include your name and the email address associated with Lift. If the request concerns a business workspace, include the business name and your relationship to it. Do not send passwords or identity documents with the initial request.

What happens next

1. We review the request and confirm the account or business data concerned. Where necessary, we ask for proportionate information to verify your identity or authority.
2. We confirm the scope, expected completion time and any records that need to be retained, with the reason and applicable retention period.
3. We delete the account and associated data covered by the request, except data that must be retained, and send you a completion confirmation.

Timing

We respond without undue delay. For personal-data requests covered by the GDPR, we respond within one month of receipt. If a permitted extension is needed because of the request’s complexity or number, we explain the reason within that first month.

What deletion covers

The request can cover your Lift account, associated personal information and documents held by Lift that you are authorised to have deleted. Shared business records may require instructions from the organisation responsible for them.

Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. We explain any applicable exception and the handling of backups when confirming your request.

Connected systems and subscriptions

Deleting data held by Lift does not automatically delete files in your own folders or accounting records already created in Xero, Zoho Books or another destination. Tell us if the request includes stopping processing or disconnecting a business workflow, so we can coordinate this with its authorised owner.
